Joe Bergen graduated with honors from Mansfield University in January 1987 with a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice Administration. He began his career as a multi-line adjuster on April 20, 1987 with Penn National Insurance Company. Central PA Claim Service opened for business on November 4, 1988. Joe was originally an employee and he purchased the company on September 25, 1989. He handles all property losses, farm/heavy equipment appraisals, and liability investigations. Our goal is to provide fast, friendly, professional claim service at a competitive price. When he's not adjusting claims, he enjoys boating, hunting, fishing, cycling, running, and hanging out with Jen and their Miniature Bull Terrier, Otis.
Jennifer Bergen worked evenings in the beginning, typing and photocopying. As the business grew, she was able to quit her day job and she has been full-time since 1991. She has an associate's degree in Secretarial Science from Williamsport Area Community College (now Penn College). Jen is "the glue," managing the office, solving problems, and dispatching claims to Joe. Her interests include family time with Joe and Otis, fitness, yoga, cooking, gardening, and boating.
